StanMed Telemedicine
Telemedicine should not replace hospitals. It should help patients reach the right clinical decision at the right time.
StanMed’s telemedicine model is designed to support patients, clinicians and health facilities through structured remote consultations, specialist referrals and follow-up pathways.
Structured Remote Care
StanMed e-consults are designed for coordinated clinical review, referral support, second opinions, follow-up care and facility-to-specialist support.
Availability: StanMed e-consults are scheduled to start from 1 August 2026.
How StanMed E-Consults Work.
The e-consult pathway is intended to be simple, documented and clinically accountable.
1. Request
A patient, clinician or authorised health facility submits an e-consult request with the relevant patient and clinical details.
2. Review
StanMed reviews the request, urgency, clinical information and available supporting documents.
3. Schedule
The e-consult may be immediate or scheduled for a selected date and time from 1 August 2026.
4. Consult
The clinician reviews the case, gives guidance and recommends the appropriate next step.
5. Follow-Up
Where needed, the patient may be guided to diagnostics, pharmacy support, referral care or in-person review.
6. Documentation
The consult pathway is recorded for accountability, continuity of care and future follow-up.
Prepare The Right Information.
Please ensure that the patient, guardian or authorised facility representative has consented to remote clinical review and information sharing.
Where available, include recent vitals, laboratory results, imaging findings, current medication, allergies and the specific clinical question for the StanMed clinician before the e-consult starts.
